The “Drawing Chain” is a playful drawing workshop led by Richard Câmara, which aims to promote moments of discovery and sharing around the pieces in the exhibition “Soldiers of Peace: History(ies) of the Firefighters of the Municipality of Cascais,” on display at Casa Sommer.

What stories do the objects and images in an exhibition tell us? How do they change when we look at them together? And what happens when we draw in a chain, letting each stroke inspire the next? In this workshop, we will learn new ways of seeing, interpreting, and creating, always in a relaxed, fun environment for all ages.

Join us for a moment of creativity and discovery with the family!

Richard Câmara has a degree in Architecture, but also studied Illustration, Comics, and Animated Film. An illustrator by profession, he has been working independently for over three decades, dedicated to teaching, having collaborated with various museums and cultural institutions in promoting drawing as a pedagogical and research tool in the field of Visual Arts.

Target audience: ages 4 to 14 (accompanied by an adult family member)
