Atlantic Cliffs Adventure
Atlantic Cliffs Adventure (ACA) is a trail running event consisting of two competitive races (Long Trail K20 and Short Trail K10) and a social walk that take place along the Atlantic coastline of Cascais, within the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park -Cascais Natural Park, following the fishermen's trails along the cliffs and coastal valleys, including the ascent to Peninha (the highest point in Cascais at 483m) and passing through the traditional villages of Almoรญnhas Velhas, Biscaia and Figueira do Guincho.The ACAstarts and finishes at Charneca do Guincho (Uniรฃo Recreativa da Charneca), with the start scheduled for 9 a.m. and the finish at 12 noon.The 2025 event is certified by the ITRA (International Trail Running Association) and will be part of the Merrell Trail Running Series regional circuit and the 2026 National Trail Sprint Circuit of the Portuguese Trail Running Association (ATRP).With the evolution of the sport and growing national and international recognition, the 2025 edition has reached a record number of 961 athletes registered, including 150 foreign athletes of 33 nationalities, and the presence for the first time of elite athletes and the national Trail Running team (Bruno Silva, Inรชs Marques, Paula Carreira, Beatriz Alves, Emanuel Rolim and Paulo Alves).This edition will distribute a total prize money of โฌ3,300 for the first time to the top three male and female finishers in the Long Trail and Short Trail.
