April 25th Bibliographic and illustration exhibition
This exhibition tells the story of "April 25". It reveals historical events and personalities from that time and confronts dictatorship with the values of democracy.
With the help of some historical artifacts, but mainly books from the Cascais Municipal Library Network, we can get to know this date better and relive it, both from the point of view of children's literature and adult literature.
To enrich the exhibition, we also had the loan of correspondence from the collection of the National Museum of Resistance and Freedom, which made it possible to compose a particularly emotional section with letters and drawings that some prisoners wrote and sent to their children from the in the Peniche Fortress.
This exhibition thus combines the celebration of April 25 with knowledge and reading. All the books on display can be touched and read. Come and feel the pleasure of reading them... in Freedom!
