The 66 ha Guincho-Cresmina dunes belongs to the Guincho-Oitavos Complex located in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. This dune system is quite particular as the sand from the beaches of Guincho and Cresmina returns to the sea further south – between Oitavos and Guia, after migrating over the flattened rocky platform of Cabo Raso. It is called Cresmina-Oitavos dune wind corridor.

This centre has a permanent exhibition which explains the dune system and is the starting point  for the discovery of the Guincho-Cresmina dunes through a walkway.
