Description

Snacks are where the most ultra-processed foods with low nutritional value are consumed. However, 25 per cent of daily calorie intake comes from snacks, which is why they play a fundamental role in children's development and well-being.

The aim of this workshop is to show children that eating well can taste great too. With this workshop we want the children to get to know new foods and develop the interest and autonomy needed to prepare their lunchboxes themselves.

In this workshop, the mini-chefs will learn:

- What they should and shouldn't include in their lunchboxes;
- How to make lunchboxes fun by making puppets out of the food or preparing Halloween-themed snacks!
- We'll also make some delicious and healthy recipes to replace ultra-processed foods;
- Why healthy eating is so important;
- How we can make better choices at the supermarket.

Aimed at children aged 6 to 12

Venue: Cascais Food Lab, Mercado da Vila, Cascais
