On this visit to the Fort of Santo António da Barra, we recall the reasons for the construction of this emblematic monument in the municipality of Cascais. We revisit its function as a military device; a vacation home for students from the Odivelas Institute from 1915 to 2015, and for the President of the Council of Ministers, António de Oliveira Salazar, from 1950 onwards. We tell stories and tales. Are there myths or truths about this 17th century fort? Will we ever know?
