The annual exhibition of the work carried out by the D. Luรญs I Foundation's artistic and cultural mediation team with its audiences in school, institutional and family contexts is back.
In this exhibition we share some of the initiatives developed, such as the โCreate without wastingโ workshop, which traveled between the exhibitions at the Paula Rego House of Stories and the Cascais Cultural Centre; the 4th Edition of the Paula Rego House of Stories Printmaking Workshop; the ongoing proposals on Art and Nature in the Marechal Carmona Park, in connection with the work of the sculptor Alberto Carneiro and his broad concept of Forest; the projects with the school community โOpen (S)Alasโ and โWhat's Thereโ, which deal with the D. Luรญs Foundation Collection and the contemporary art exhibitions at the D. Luรญs Cultural Centre. Luรญs Foundation Collection and the contemporary art exhibitions at the Cascais Cultural Centre; and the pilot project โO que posso aqui?โ (What can I do here?), which begins a process of listening to the public about how they experience and problematize what is meant by โcultural spaceโ.
This exhibition is also part of the Local Action Program โCascais, Friend of Children and Young Peopleโ. It is one of the actions that brings to the public - and returns to its participating communities - the practical and effective articulation with two of the main axes of the World Convention on the Rights of Children and Young People (Unicef) - the Right to Participation and the Right to Non-Discrimination - through the practice of artistic and cultural mediation. Common to all these proposals will certainly and clearly be the benefit of all the participants, regardless of their age group.
