Despert'arte Festival - Inclusive Art Festival
The Despert'Arte Festival - Art Without Limits is an unprecedented and inspiring initiative promoted by the Pisão Social Support Centre as part of its 40th anniversary and with the support of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Cascais.
With a strong commitment to inclusion and artistic diversity, the festival was born with the aim of giving stage to artistic expressions from different contexts, namely associations and projects that work with people with mental illness, cerebral palsy and other conditions associated with disability or social exclusion.
This event brings together different artistic languages - theatre, dance, cinema and visual arts - involving groups and creators from all over the municipality and beyond, in an atmosphere of sharing, creativity and valuing difference.
Over the course of three days, the public will be able to watch shows, exhibitions and film screenings that put the power of art as an instrument of social transformation and inclusion at the centre.
With free entry, this initiative invites the whole community to take part, discover and celebrate art... without limits.
