Behind the scenes at the Municipal Historical Archive of Cascais Guided tour
Founded on August 25, 1987, the Cascais Municipal Historical Archive preserves documents spanning eight centuries of history. In addition to the documentation produced and received by the municipality, it also holds archives from different sources, such as family, business, personal, associative or ecclesiastical.
On this visit, participants will have access to spaces that are off-limits to the public, thus getting to know the different stages of documentary work, as well as their importance for the preservation and dissemination of collective and individual memory.
