Description

This course is based on a collaborative project between geology, medicine, biology and history, in an integrated approach to the themes of Hydrogeology, Biodiversity, Medical Hydrology, Architecture and Urbanism, Culture and Tourism, in order to highlight the relevance and uniqueness of thermalism from the perspective of Global Health.

The secular interconnection of the use of natural mineral water with a territory of exceptional character will be evaluated, from the origins of European scientific thermalism to the revaluation of natural and cultural thermal heritage, in the path of One Health, whose program has been promoted by the World Health Organization.

Scientific coordination: Helena Gonçalves Pinto.
