Visit to the Fort of S. Jorge de Oitavos
Description
A polygonal structure with five equal sides resting on the cliff, the Fort of S. Jorge de Oitavos was built between 1642 and 1648 and was the largest maritime fortification built after the Restoration of Independence (1640).
On this guided tour, learn about the genesis, history and some of the fort's secrets. The activity is aimed at everyone over the age of 5.
