EDP Lisbon Marathon
The EDP Lisbon Marathon is one of the biggest running events in Portugal, internationally recognised as one of the most beautiful marathons in the world. The marathon route passes through some of the most emblematic scenery in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, and the coastal town of Cascais, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
The competition attracts elite and amateur athletes from all over the world, making it a major international sporting event.
Certification: The race is certified by AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races) and is labelled ELITE LABEL, a distinction awarded by World Athetics.
It's an event that combines sport, culture and urban beauty, broadcast live on the RTP channel to more than 200 million viewers.
