Community Project... EVA Cartonera
The cycle of cartonera workshops Antรญdotos para o Inferno (Antidotes for Hell), which is the result of collaboration between the publisher EVA Cartonera and the Cultural and Educational Service of the D. Luรญs I Foundation, continues in 2026 in a new venue: the former Orchid House in Marechal Carmona Park, with links to the sculptural work of Alberto Carneiro.
The aim of these two workshops is to jointly create a book and produce handmade copies, following the principles of the cartonero movement, which make each work unique, personal, and highly transmissible.ย
The book, to be designed at each of these moments, is an anthology of texts in the public domain, connected to the work of artist Alberto Carneiro.
The texts in each book and the artworks are related through common themes or subjects. In February and March, we will focus on the theme of โPresenceโ related to nature and the concept of the forest.
> February 7: Presence as the opposite of absence, in connection with the work of Alberto Carneiro.
> March 21: Presence, or the other side of oblivion, in the work of Alberto Carneiro.
