Description

Does everyone know the meaning of the proverb “Cada macaco no seu galho” (Every monkey on its own branch)?

This storytelling session, featuring traditional rhymes, proverbs, nursery rhymes, tongue twisters, and traditional tales, is part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the Cascais Municipal Library - Casa da Horta da Quinta de Santa Clara.

Come and listen to stories featuring monkeys, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, and oxen, collected in the book of the same name by Luísa Ducla Soares with illustrations by Carolina Branco. You can also hear the story of the old woman who had many animals and... an old man.

Sónia Dias has a degree in Tourism Business Management. She has always been passionate about stories, but it was after the birth of her daughter that she embraced children's literature. Throughout 2024, she turned her passion into action and created the project “Um Vale Encantado de Histórias” (An Enchanted Valley of Stories). She believes that reading is the key to unlocking children's creativity, dreams, and values, because every page turned is an opportunity to boost self-esteem and cultivate curious minds and hearts full of imagination.

Target audience: Families with children over 3 years old.
Participation is free but subject to registration HERE
