“When I saw him dance for the last time,” by photographer Bruno Saavedra
The Cascais Cultural Center presents the exhibition Quando o vi dançar pela última vez (When I saw him dance for the last time) by Portuguese-Brazilian photographer and visual artist Bruno Saavedra. The exhibition is organized by the D. Luís I Foundation, with the support of the Cascais City Council, as part of the Bairro dos Museus program, and will be open from November 1, 2025, to January 25, 2026.
The result of more than three years of work, Bruno Saavedra's project follows the journey of Simão Telles (Santarém, 1997), creator of the character Symone De Lá Dragma, inspired by the verses of No Teu Poema, in the voice of Simone de Oliveira, on a journey of vulnerability and self-discovery.
Bruno Saavedra photographed Simão/Symone between his family home in Pontével and Lisbon nights to create a sensitive and poetic album of images about the freedom to be in a universe of dualities.
