Description

The Cascais Symphony Orchestra presents two great representatives of Romanticism.

The composer P.I. Tchaikovsky and “Pathetique,” considered by the composer himself to be his “best and most sincere” symphony. It is one of the most emblematic symphonic works, a must in the repertoire of all symphony orchestras around the world.

For his part, S. Rachmaninoff is one of the few musicians who has achieved the highest level in all areas, demonstrating his talent. A genius and virtuoso of the piano, the composer considered by Tchaikovsky “as one of his successors” is one of the great maestros of the 20th century and one of the last masters of late Romanticism and Russian music of this period.
