Exhibition: ‘Quinta do Pisão: History and Landscape’
The exhibition “Quinta do Pisão: History, Landscape and Rural Memory” invites you to discover a landscape deeply shaped by human activity over time. From the Mitra period and the establishment of the Pisão Agricultural Colony, this area has been shaped by agricultural practices, labour systems and forms of organisation that have left visible marks on the landscape.
Throughout the exhibition, the different uses of the land are revealed — from water to mills, from lime kilns to crafts — showing how these elements contributed to the creation of a functional, productive and constantly changing landscape.
Today, Quinta do Pisão stands as a space for conservation and sustainable management, where the past intersects with new ways of caring for and valuing the land.
