Description

We invite the public to embark on a unique experience aboard the historic salt galleon Estou para Ver and discover the fascinating stories of shipwrecks along the Cascais coast.

Throughout the journey, participants will hear historical accounts, learn intriguing facts about vessels lost and sunk in these waters, and gain insight into the work carried out by the Cascais Underwater Archaeology Project, which has been identifying, studying and preserving the submerged cultural heritage of Cascais.

Blending history and adventure, this activity offers a rare opportunity to explore the deep connection between Cascais and the sea, revealing how the traces hidden beneath the waters help us understand centuries of navigation, trade and maritime life along our coastline.

Meeting Point: Cidadelaย Gate (Porta de Armas da Cidadela de Cascais), Avenida D. Carlos I, Cascais.

Note: The activity is subject to weather and sea conditions.

Target audience: General public (ages 10+).
