Conferências do Estoril 2026 |“Reignite Democracy"
The Estoril Conferences are preparing to mark a particularly significant milestone: their 10th Edition, taking place on 29-30 October 2026 at the Nova SBE Campus, in Cascais, the heart of the European Capital of Democracy 2026.
Over nearly two decades, this gathering has established itself as an international platform of reference for debating the major challenges of our time, bringing together Nobel Laureates, heads of state, policymakers, academics, business leaders, artists, young leaders and representatives of civil society. Altogether, the Estoril Conferences have welcomed more than 17,000 participants from over 130 nationalities, fostering a plural and inspiring dialogue across generations and geographies.
The 2026 Edition will be dedicated to the theme "Reignite Democracy", at a particularly challenging moment in the international landscape, marked by growing divisions, polarisation and disinformation. In times of uncertainty, democracy remains the fundamental foundation that sustains freedom, justice and equity for all. It is in this spirit that the Estoril Conferences once again bring together international leaders, policymakers, academics and young leaders in a space for reflection, dialogue and mobilisation.
