The Mareantes Route: From the Museum to the Sea - Stories Told Along the Way
This activity features a series of stories told in the very places to which they are connected. The King D. Carlos Maritime Museum serves as a starting point for understanding maritime communities and the material evidence of their history. The outdoor route then transforms Cascais into the very setting of the narrative. Throughout the walk, historical facts, memories, legends, and elements of the landscape are presented in a cohesive manner, culminating in a particularly intense narrative moment at Boca do Inferno.
Approximately 3 to 4 hours in duration, adaptable to the groupโs pace, the stops made, and weather conditions.
Free, with registration required.
Note: As this activity includes an outdoor walking route, it is subject to weather conditions and safety conditions along the coast. Whenever necessary, the route may be adjusted while preserving the main content and narrative flow of the experience.
