Description

A historical reenactment experience centered on the fishing community of Cascais between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The narrative thread is an old book of tales and tides, through which the audience discovers daily life on the beach, the sale of fish, the dangers of the trade, the families’ wait, and the importance of local maritime memory.

The activity begins amid the everyday atmosphere of Ribeira Beach. The arrival of the catch, the nets, the work carried out on land, and the fishmongers’ calls introduce the audience to a Cascais deeply connected to the sea.

The old journal gradually reveals brief entries about the community’s life, serving as a bridge between the objects, customs, and human stories.

Approximately 50-60 minutes, adapted to the group’s pace, age, and level of participation.
