Description

In this concert, we invite the audience on a journey between two Austrian cities that have marked the history of music.Vienna will forever be associated with the three greats โ€” Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven โ€” and their importance in the Classical era. Linz, or Lรญncia in Portuguese, is the country's third largest city and was immortalized by Mozart's beautiful symphony written there.

The strong friendship with J. Haydn, represented here with one of his magnificent cello concertos, resulted from several meetings between the two. J. Haydn's assessment in the presence of Leopold Mozart remains in history: "Your son is the greatest composer I know, with good taste and a deeper understanding of composition."

The program also includes a work by the Italian composer E. Wolf-Ferrari, on his 150th birthday.
