International Conservator-Restorer Day
The Condes de Castro Guimarães Museum is marking International Conservator-Restorer Day with a tour that takes the public through the museum's interior rooms and reserves (which are usually closed to the public) to learn about the conservation and restoration work carried out on objects such as fans and tiles in this emblematic Cascais museum.
During this visit, and in the form of a conversation, you will also learn about the importance of the work of the conservator-restorer in safeguarding and protecting Cascais' museum collections.
The International Day of the Conservator-Restorer is celebrated on January 27. As it is Monday, when museums are closed, the event will take place on January 28 in two sessions, morning and afternoon.
