THE CACTUS WANTS PAMPERING - STAGING OF THE WORK BY THE AUTHOR, ANA VENTURA
Description
The life story of the Saguaro Cactus, led by the Hopi Indian, allows us to realise how special it is and how much of a plant hero it is. This cactus, who lives for 200 years, weighs 9 tonnes and can reach up to 12 metres in height, exemplifies the difficulty of living on a scale of space and time that is very different from that of human beings.
The tale touches on themes such as nature, solidarity, friendship and families, inviting the audience to reflect on these fundamental issues in a sensitive and engaging way.
