“Tales of Terror and Enchantment,” at the Estoril Academy of Arts
The Theater Workshop at the Álvaro de Sousa Engineering Center invites you to rediscover the richness of Portuguese folk mythology, which time and the fast pace of the modern world seem determined to erase.
Guided by the voices of Lucinda, Natália, and Maria da Piedade—dedicated storytellers who won’t let the truth spoil a good “twist” in the story—the audience will be transported to a Portugal of enchantment and thrills.
Between sudden encounters with the Devil, the escapades of modern witches, and negotiations with death, “Tales of Terror and Enchantment” proves that stories are more than just entertainment: they are mirrors of our soul and our society.
A show where fear dissolves into laughter, proving that, against fate, there is nothing better than a good dose of cleverness and an “Oh, Holy Virgin” uttered at just the right moment.
