Presentation of the CD Maria de Lourdes Martins | Fragments of the Avant-garde
Fragments of Avant-Garde is a CD that proposes a journey through the most innovative and experimental aspect of Maria de Lourdes Martins' work, highlighting a decisive period in her affirmation as a singular voice in Portuguese music of the 1960s. The selected works reveal a writing marked by the exploration of new languages, textures and timbres, reflecting the aesthetic restlessness and creative curiosity of the composer.
The CD launch will be marked with a presentation and piano recital by pianist Inês Filipe at the Museum of Portuguese Music on March 28 (Saturday) at 6 pm.
Inês Filipe | Winner of numerous awards in National and International piano competitions, notably the Antena 2 Prize at the XVII SIPO International Piano Festival, under the watchful eye of a prestigious panel of judges that included Boris Berman, Luiz de Moura Castro, Josep Colom and Paul Badura-skoda. She regularly performs as a soloist in recitals, having already performed in numerous countries such as Spain, France, Italy, Belgium, Panama, Costa Rica, Japan, among others. She demonstrates great versatility in her choice and execution of piano repertoire, including concert works ranging from Bach to contemporary music. Her interest in modern and contemporary Portuguese music has led her to play an active role in its dissemination, having already premiered several works by Portuguese composers. Her curriculum includes a CD recorded for the DaVinci-Classics label with works for solo piano by Claude Debussy, and another CD dedicated to works by Portuguese composers with the Musicamera-Produções label.
