Always open. Access to motor vehicles is not allowed, except for the car park (9:00am - 6:00pm).
Dedicated to the agro-silvo-pastoral activity, the Quinta do Pisão represents an important heritage, both in the structural organization of the landscape, compartmentalization and rational use, and in the presence of ruins of cultural and architectural value.
The human intervention in this area - which is in the transition between urban areas and the Serra de Sintra - resulted in the emergence of new habitats and ecological niches, which are today important for the preservation of nature.
Quinta do Pisão is characterized by a mosaic of extremely rich vegetation, corresponding to a significant diversity of habitats representative of the ecology of this area. Several species of fauna worthy of conservation status are present in this territory, either exploring particular ecological niches, or benefiting from the polysemic structure of the habitats that converge here.
