Ocean Arte 2026
The exhibition showcases the works created for the fourth edition of the OceanArte Award (2026), organised by the Education Department of the Cascais and Estoril Parish Council (JFCE), in partnership with the King D. Carlos Sea Museum.
Aimed at students from public and private primary and lower secondary schools within the parishes of Cascais and Estoril, the award seeks to encourage innovative and sustainable artistic creation. It recognises artworks produced using recycled materials and/or items collected from beaches and the sea, promoting non-formal learning through collaborative experiences in diverse groups within the field of visual arts education.
The project aims to raise awareness within the school community about environmental pollution, encourage the reduction and collection of marine litter, and promote two of Portugalโs Sustainable Development Goals under the 2030 Agenda: Quality Education and Life Below Water.
