Final Concert of the Conducting Academy, presented by OCCO - Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra
OCCO - Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra hosted the 7th International Academy of Orchestral Conducting, a premier event for up-and-coming conductors seeking to deepen their technique and interpretation under the guidance of renowned educators and in collaboration with a professional orchestra.
From July 19 to 25, at the Cascais Conservatory of Music, participants worked on a refined repertoire that demands a unique balance between technical precision and stylistic sensitivity from the conductor. The program culminates in the International Conducting Competition, where finalists have the opportunity to demonstrate their mastery at the helm of the orchestra in an official concert. The winner will be invited to return as a guest conductor the following season.
