As part of the celebrations of Archaeology Day in Portugal, Cascais Municipality presents *The Roman Presence in Cascais: A Territory of Western Lusitania*, a book by Guilherme Cardoso and Josรฉ dโEncarnaรงรฃo that highlights the historical and archaeological significance of the municipality within the context of ancient Lusitania.
The result of decades of research and study of the local heritage, this publication takes readers on a journey from Protohistoric times through the Late Roman and Visigothic periods, exploring the regionโs *villae*, ways of life, economic activities, religious and funerary practices, and the integration of this territory into the Roman world.
