“From the Court to the Salon,” a concert for violin and piano
The Condes de Castro Guimarães Museum will host “From the Court to the Concert Hall,” a concert for violin and piano that takes listeners on a musical journey exploring the theme of love across different eras and settings—from the refined elegance of European courts to the intimacy and charm of late 19th- and early 20th-century concert halls.
Musicians from the S. Carlos National Theater: Alexander Stewart, Associate Concertmaster of the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, and Maestro João Paulo Santos, who for several decades has held a prominent position in the Portuguese classical music scene and at the country’s only opera house. Both have released acclaimed solo and collaborative recordings.
