Description

To celebrate the 34th anniversary of the King D. Carlos Sea Museum, the performance “Ombela and the Origin of Rain” will be presented.

Ombela is a young girl who cries — sometimes out of sadness, sometimes out of happiness. This phenomenon always leaves her confused. One day, her father, a God who grows smaller with time, explains to her the purpose of tears: to form the rivers and seas of the world!

A story based on the book by Angolan writer Ondjaki, brought to life through music and objects, transporting audiences to Africa, where legends closely intertwine the nature of the world with the nature of humankind.

Target audience: Families with children aged 3 to 8 years old | Limited capacity: 60 children + accompanying adults
