"Diary of a Little Lighthouse Keeper", at the Santa Marta Lighthouse Museum
A lighthouse is a special place that sparks everyone's imagination and inspires authors to create stories for younger readers. But what if we handed the paper and pen to the children?
In a creative writing activity, we propose that young people imagine themselves as lighthouse keepers for a night and create a story that took place at the Santa Marta Lighthouse.
As inspiration and to start the activity, we will read together the book Hello, Lighthouse, by Sophie Blackall, and present old photographs of other Portuguese lighthouses.
