"The Inspiration of Genius", by OCCO - Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra
Two hundred years after the death of J.C. Ariaga, the OCCO - Cascais and Oeiras Chamber Orchestra presents the most famous overture by the Spanish composer. Considered the "Spanish Mozart," Ariaga unfortunately had a short life and, like the Austrian genius, was considered a true prodigy.
Mendelssohn, on the other hand, is presented in the program with his Scottish Symphony. He was a composer, pianist, conductor, and one of the most emblematic figures of his time.
Mendelssohn was also considered a prodigy, and his importance as a disseminator of forgotten works contributed to the rediscovery of music from earlier eras.
