Duration 60 min. No intermission
Under Maria Antónia's roof, there is one unbreakable rule: save. There is no shortage of money, but the matriarch's greed imposes limits, even on what we thought was inexhaustible — air, affection, love.
And it is precisely love that is scarce in this house. Between rigid wills and restless hearts, a silent battle is raging: who will submit, who will give up, who will dare to challenge? Against all odds, can the heart speak louder?
Get ready for a story where every gesture counts, every choice can change the course. Come and find out which way the boat will tip... and if love finds room to breathe.

O TRIUNFO D’AMOU M/14
G.M.D. Theater Workshop January 31, Manique de Baixo
March 5 | 9:00 p.m.
Duration 80 min. No intermission
This is a story about the hybrid nature of love. A love that is verbose and eloquent. A love full of lies, manipulation, and tricks. A selfish love. A love at point-blank range. Also impulsive and treacherous. A love that does not see the means to achieve its ends... And yet, love continues. Written in 1732 by Pierre Marivaux, The Triumph of Love is a comedy of errors, divided into three acts. Léonide, crown princess of a usurped throne, intends to renounce her title of power to give it to the legitimate prince, Agis.
The action stems from a frenetic game of seduction and complicity, awakened by the blindness of love, in which all the characters suffer! The Triumph of Love, in the face of the depth and persistence of love, reveals that true passion transcends artifice and disguise.

FLIGHT IN EXTREME SITUATIONS M/12
Festiva Enseada Theater Group
March 7 | 9:30 p.m.
Duration 50 min. No intermission
Embark on an unconventional flight, led by a flight attendant who guides the audience through a series of entertaining, unexpected, and deeply human scenes. “Flight in Extreme Situations” transforms everyday life into a spectacle, revealing the absurdity hidden in the most mundane situations, from a simple meal in a restaurant to traffic... on the moon.
Throughout the journey, caricatured characters come to life: a fly that causes chaos in a restaurant, a vain archer who tries (unsuccessfully) to win over a damsel, aliens in the middle of their lunar routine, a lost orchestra without a conductor, elderly women who turn into athletes in an epic contest in the park, and finally a group of passengers who discover, inside an airplane, the essence of democratic coexistence.
Through humor, movement, and fantasy, the show invites the audience to laugh at their own experiences, recognizing themselves in the extreme situations presented on stage. In the end, the message remains: on a journey or in a democracy, no one travels alone; you have to fasten your seatbelts, take a deep breath, and keep going. A poetic and humorous journey through real life... or almost.

SAY IT'S A KIND OF REVIEW! M/6
Cascais Musical Society Theater Group
March 13 | 9:30 p.m.
Duration 105 min. Intermission 15 min.
Diz que é uma espécie de Revista (Say it's a kind of revue) is a humorous celebration of the Portuguese revue, which looks at theater... inside and out.
Between skits, songs, dance, and lots of interaction with the audience, the show reveals the behind-the-scenes, the egos, the fragilities, and the passions of those who make theater, reminding us that, in the end, it is always the audience who is in charge. With humor, music, and popular identity, this is a revue that cannot be explained—it must be experienced.
Because in the end, when everything comes together... it says it's a kind of Revue!

TELLING THE TRUTH OR LYING M/12
On Stage at G.R.D. 1º Maio de Tires
March 14 | 9:30 p.m.
Duration 45 min. No intermission
Falar a Verdade a Mentir (Telling the Truth or Lying), by Almeida Garrett, is a 19th-century comedy that satirizes the hypocrisy of bourgeois society. The play follows Duarte, a compulsive liar who needs to convince his future father-in-law, Brás Ferreira—a man of integrity and defender of the truth—that he spent an entire day without lying so he can marry Amália.
Amidst confusion, lies that become truths, and the unexpected help of José Félix and Joaquina, the plot reveals opportunism and social contradictions. Between laughter and twists and turns, is the truth really that simple?

ZAMBUJEIRO, REMEMBERING BLACK AND WHITE M/6
G. D. Zambujeiro Theater Group
March 20 | 9:30 p.m.
Duration 90 min. No intermission
This play is inspired by a time when Portuguese cinema, in black and white, brought families and friends together for evenings of fellowship and good cheer! Good times whether at home, at the cinema, or on the streets where a friendly café owner would put the TV in the window and place stools on the sidewalk. The truth is that there might not have been popcorn, but there was no shortage of laughter, accompanied by whatever snacks and drinks were at hand.
Therefore, with our play, we sought to recall and bring together some of the best moments from three beautiful Portuguese films, namely Aldeia da Roupa Branca, Maria Papoila, and Canção de Lisboa. It was not an easy challenge, given the enormous difficulty in choosing and bringing together the best moments, as there were so many and they were all so good!
We share this challenge with you because one thing is certain: in every rehearsal, every difficulty, every change, and every need to adapt to various circumstances, our group remained united with great friendship, dedication, laughter, and good humor!
