Description

Camouflage and mimicry are two of the best and most effective strategies that butterflies use in their daily struggle for survival. There are generally three types of strategy: those that use camouflage, those that use bright colors to show their toxicity, and those that use bright colors to mimic toxic species. These strategies are not limited to the adult stage, but also extend to the caterpillar and chrysalis stages.

Come and learn about the different types of strategies that species such as the leaf butterfly or the monarch butterfly caterpillar use to survive!
