Exhibition “Museum of the Sea at the Museum of the Sea” - Plasticus Maritimus Workshops
This year, with the theme Museu do Mar (Museum of the Sea), the Plasticus Maritimus (SMUP-Parede) summer workshops reflect on the role of a museum dedicated to the sea, discovering marine curiosities and building their own museum using cardboard waste.
Inspired by the cabinets of curiosities from the Age of Discovery, children between the ages of 8 and 12 created their own collection of marine curiosities, including invasive species such as the algae Rugulopteryx okamurae and Plasticus maritimus, the most famous invasive species of the last decade.
The Museu do Mar is now on display inside the real Sea Museum.
