LAST REMORSES BEFORE FORGETTING
SYNOPSIS
A countryside house, It's Sunday. The trio Hélène, Paul, and Pierre reunites, years after a love affair. They arrive with their respective families to decide on the sale of the jointly acquired house, where Pierre still lives alone. The wounds and resentments resurface. Unable to understand each other, to explain themselves, they tear themselves apart: language fails in the attempt to achieve reconciliation. A text that has not yet been professionally presented in Portugal to date. This will be its absolute debut. It is a simple story, on a human scale, based on the urgency to exist. Indeed, in many of the playwright's texts, discourse is constructed as an absolute need for communication, a vital duty to fill an absence, a central theme throughout Lagarce's work. There is extreme care with words, an essential material not only of theater but mainly of the human being. It is they who unveil a complex world, awakening in those who hear them the most distinct feelings.
