Mirpuri Foundation Sailing Trophy 2024
As part of the Mirpuri Foundation´s Marine Conservation Program and organized in partnership with the Clube Naval de Cascais, the Mirpuri Foundation Sailing Trophy stands as one of the major international regattas, challenging the world´s best sailors to compete for the future of the oceans.
The 5th edition of this trophy promotes regattas for classes - ORC, NHC, J70, SB20, Snipe, Finn and Optimist.
The regattas will start with the cannon fire from the Navio Patrulha Oceânico of the Portuguese Navy, with the fleet of competitors lined up bellow.
This memorable festival of the sea comes to a close with the prize giving ceremony. The winning teams who took part in the Mirpuri Foundation Sailing Trophy will receive their prizes and both the MirpuriFoundation Ocean Award and the coveted perpetual trophy will be awarded.
The Mirpuri Foundation Ocean Award 2024 will be attributed to an initiative led by IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature), that combines marine conservation with circular economy principles.
The Mirpuri Foundation Sailing Trophy is considered as one of the most sustainable in the world, plastic free and with careful management of all generated waste.
A unique event that celebrates the sea and its inhabitants, culture, entertainment, sport, economy and sustainability.
