"The art that invites you to read’ exhibition
This exhibition reveals the work done by the users of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Cascais Day Centre during the two years of activity of ‘Invite to Read’ - a project of the Cascais Municipal Library Network that began in 2022 and which, through reading and by establishing partnerships with the municipality's Day Centres, aims to help combat the isolation of the municipality's senior population.
The exhibition brings together beautiful works made by the talented group of users, using various techniques and materials, such as sculpture, painting and textile art (handicrafts): a stimulus for all the senses. As well as the usual invitation to read, with this exhibition ‘Invite to Read’ aims to challenge the whole community to show their affection and admiration for the very special group of artists represented.
After the visit, the public is invited to vote for their favourite work of art.
