Tribute to Celestino Lopes da Costa, stonemason and poet from Cascalão

Celestino Lopes da Costa, 91, a native of Abóboda, is one of the men of the land who certifies the Saloia culture in Cascais. His story is marked by a strong connection to tradition and manual labor, with a life dedicated to the art of stonemasonry and writing.
He will be honored on January 25 at the Cascais Countryside Interpretation Centre, located at Casal Saloio de Outeiro de Polima, in the voice of Professor José d`Encarnação.
The event will also include the opening to the public of a documentary exhibition about Abóboda, the hometown of the honoree.
