Description

Cascais City Council is committed to sustainable water management and has undertaken to reduce the waste of drinking water in the municipality. In this context, an environmental awareness exhibition was created using an artistic and technological piece (a central element) on the theme of water, whose aim and message is to represent a vision of a future in which water, an increasingly scarce commodity, disappears from its natural state, requiring technological intermediation so that people can understand and experience its presence, encouraging reflection on the use of water and the danger of losing it if behaviour does not change.

In this exhibition, visitors will be able to have a sensory and interactive experience through a tactile surface piece by the artists Inรชs Norton and Mรกrio Vila Nova, where images and sounds alluding to the theme of water are projected. The images are digitally processed to generate 3D information that then dynamically deforms the surface, creating reliefs that people can touch. This is a unique experience that uses sound, image, touch and interaction to engage visitors and make the work universal, promoting a sensory reflection on the scarcity and mismanagement of water resources.

SDGs: 6 (Clear water and sanitation) and 13 (Climate action)
