Exhibition of the 2nd edition of the OceanArte Prize - 2024
The exhibition brings together the works from the second edition of the OceanArte Prize (2024), organized by the Education office of the Cascais and Estoril Parish Council (JFCE), in partnership with the King D. Carlos Museum of the Sea.
This award, aimed at 1st and 2nd cycle schools in the Cascais and Estoril Parish Council, aims to stimulate innovative and sustainable artistic creation, distinguishing the production of works created with recycled resources/materials and/or collected from beaches and the sea, by heterogeneous groups of children in co-authorship with integration with the pedagogical area of plastic arts.
Based on the Ministry of Education's guidelines, namely the Essential Learning (knowledge, skills and attitudes) and competence areas of the Profile of Pupils Leaving Compulsory Schooling, the initiative promotes non-formal learning through collaborative experience in heterogeneous groups.
Until October 6, visitors can take part in choosing the winning work, which will be announced on October 8, on World Octopus Day.
