Carcavelos Wine Tasting with Commentary by Rodolfo Tristão
Come discover the wine produced in Portugal’s smallest demarcated region: Carcavelos.
A nectar born of centuries of tradition that you’ll have the chance to taste and (re)discover, paired with delicacies from Cascais.
Let yourself be captivated by this generous wine, which in the 18th century was prized and well-known among European elites.
Rodolfo Tristão, one of the most award-winning Portuguese sommeliers of all time, pens our chronicle on the nectar of the gods—Chronicles of a Sommelier.
With a career spanning more than 20 years in the world of wine, he served as president of the Portuguese Sommelier Association and has won numerous awards and distinctions. His career as a sommelier includes stints at several Michelin-starred restaurants, such as Henrique Sá Pessoa’s Alma (2014–2015) and José Avilez’s Belcanto (2016–2019).
Today, he continues to dedicate himself to teaching; he is a professor of Enogastronomy at the Estoril School of Hospitality and Tourism, a trainer at Turismo de Portugal, and a consultant. In 2019, he launched his second book, *Saber Beber Vinho*.
