Can you protect the birds’ nests on our beaches?
In this activity, children will become little guardians of nature and explore a beach during the nesting season for sandpipers and collared sandpipers. Throughout the mission, SPEA will teach you how to locate and monitor nests, identify the threats these birds face, and find solutions to protect them.
Through challenges, discovery, and lots of fun, you’ll learn about the importance of these species and how small actions can make a difference in conserving biodiversity.
