European Heritage Days: Pharol - 54, circus theatre, street performance
A lighthouse keeper is spending his last day on duty at Pharol 54. Tomorrow, the lighthouse will be automated and will open its doors as a museum. As he prepares to say goodbye, the objects in the lighthouse stir up memories: storms, shipwrecks, rescues, the daily routine of the spiral staircases, the maintenance of the old machinery, an unlikely friendship with a seagull, and dreams left unfulfilled.ย
Through humour, music, circus and poetry, the past once again illuminates the present. โPharol 54โ is a show about light, guidance and hope.ย
A story of farewell and transformation, told in the place where the land ends and the sea begins.ย
