GROUP EXHIBITION “MORE THAN ONE FOOT AND SEVERAL HEADS”
This exhibition is the result of the NÓS OS LOUCOS project, co-created by MANICÓMIO, which aims to experiment with drawing as a means of building creative processes for residents of national mental health institutions, seeing the role of the artist as a vehicle for awakening creative awareness and as a guide on the path to be taken by the residents of these institutions.
Using innovative drawing tools, the aim is to facilitate access to free artistic experimentation for people with mental illness, providing actions in different contexts (hospital, immersion, residency and exhibition) that will allow participants to develop their creative process, enhancing their expressiveness. The different actions aim to leverage, complement and enrich the participants' artistic experience by visually exploring the impact of the change of context.
