Cascais hosts the Thermometer Festival
Cascais hosts the Termómetro 2026 tour, in what is the 30th edition of the event.
The festival, which measures the musical temperature of the country - and which discovered Silence Four and Ornatos Violeta, among others - will be at the Carlos Avillez Auditorium, at the Estoril Academy of Arts, on April 2nd, at 9:30 PM, with a presentation by Fernando Alvim.
Until May, Termómetro will also be presented in other cities to introduce emerging music to the general public.
The bands participating in this third stage are Martin Limbo, The Mirandas, Sam Nóbrega and 10/16.

After the 9 stages of the roadshow, three finalist bands are chosen to perform in the grand final at LAV in Lisbon on May 10th, where the public can also attend a special concert, with the band to be announced shortly.
Created in 1994 by radio and television presenter Fernando Alvim, Termómetro reaches its 30th edition in 2026 as one of the most active Portuguese festivals. Winning or not, it was here that many bands and artists revealed themselves.
It's always worth remembering that Silence Four, Ornatos Violeta, Tatanka, Noiserv or Capicua, for example, started precisely at this festival, but there are many others and, year after year, this festival continues to measure the musical temperature of the country.
Fernando Alvim - the mastermind behind this festival - thus continues his mission of seeking out new authors, new bands and fresh blood in the Portuguese music scene.
The project chosen by the jury in the grand final will perform on stages such as Nos Alive, Paredes de Coura and Bons Sons, in addition to being able to record a music video and have studio time for recording.
