Description

SYNOPSIS:
Pedro Boto, a successful editor, has a habit of organizing what he and his friends call โ€œidiot dinners.โ€ Each dinner organizer invites an idiot (without them knowing they're being invited, because they're a real idiot) and during dinner everyone makes fun of the innocent victims. Is it cruel? Yes. Is it fun? Very! At least this group of friends has a lot of fun... with the idiots on duty. However, on the night in question, Pedro injures himself playing golf, injures his back, and can barely walk. On the advice of his doctor, Dr. Serra, he should not go to dinner and should stay home to recover. As if that weren't enough, his marriage is going through a rough patch. Cristina, his wife, hates these dinners and the fact that Pedro attends them. For this and many other reasons, she decides to leave Pedro that night. When Pedro realizes this, he has the idiot, Abรญlio Pinhรฃo, at home with him, whom he doesn't know, but whom he had invited for a drink, with the aim of studying him before taking him to dinner. The idiot, very helpful, tries to help Pedro resolve his situation with Cristina, but only manages to bring together, in that apartment: - Alvaro Brandรฃo, Pedro's former close friend, who had cut off relations with him for โ€œstealingโ€ Cristina. - Marlene Suyrmรฃ, a passionate woman whom Pedro only wants as a lover and whom our idiot mistakes for the host's wife. - Finally, to find out where Cristina is, who is thought to have gone to a playboy's house, Pedro receives a visit from โ€œTheโ€ tax inspector, who is more perceptive than Poirot and capable of detecting fraud and tax evasion in every corner of the house. Want to know more? You'll just have to watch this wonderful comedy, with hilarious situations where not everything is what it seems! Or is everything what it seems? Or is it neither what it seems nor what it is? Or could it be that... whoever wrote the synopsis has nothing better to do and is wasting our time with an endless series of meaningless questions?
