About the workshop:

This masterclass will be aimed at people who want to get started in this area or who already have knowledge of it.

- First part: white biscuits, edging and filling - study of icing ingredients, realisation, pretence, consistencies, etc.

- Second part: โ€˜wet on wetโ€™ techniques, simple dimensioning, 3D details, etc.

- Third part and main biscuit: My exclusive dimensional techniques, anatomy, perspective, transfers, etc.ย

About the chef:ย 

Marta Torres is the creative mind behind โ€˜The Cookie Lab by Marta Torresโ€™ and โ€˜Marta Torres - Royal Icing Cookie Artโ€™. Marta's speciality is the creation and elaboration of incredibly decorated biscuits, using her exclusive dimensional decoration techniques for a 3D effect with coloured icing.

Marta found her passion for decorated biscuits by accident around 2013. She comes from a completely different industry, Banking and Consultancy, and even though she knew nothing about icing or biscuits, through her desire and passion she taught herself this art. Being completely self-taught, after 6 months of practice, she submitted a work to an international competition and won. This award changed her life!

Marta is now an instructor of her own unique dimensional techniques with coloured icing. She has spent the last 9 ยฝ years teaching impressively in 33 countries to 2000 students. She now also teaches online on digital platforms to more than 1,500 students.

She is often asked to serve as a judge at prestigious competitions around the world, including the world-famous Cake International, UK, where she is an Official Judge.

Marta has had several articles, covers and interviews published in national and international magazines, appears frequently on national television programmes, and has a Special Edition of a national magazine published entirely with her work. In addition, she is a certified chef by the CIA - Culinary Institute of America, NY in โ€˜Culinary Artsโ€™ and โ€˜Special Breadsโ€™, and certified by the ICE - Institute of Culinary Education, NY in โ€˜Breadsโ€™.
